The UNICEF Innocenti Research Centre released the seventh report in its Report Card series: Child Poverty in Perspective: An Overview of Child Well-Being in Rich Countries (full text). The report is the first of its kind to provide a comprehensive assessment on the well-being of children and young people in the world’s advanced economies (21 selected OECD member countries), focusing on six dimensions: material well-being, health and safety, education, peer and family relationships, behaviours and risks, and young people’s own subjective sense of well-being. The landmark report shows that among all of the countries studied, there are improvements to be made and that no single country leads in all six of the areas. Previous Report Card publications and other studies are available online via the Centre's publications page.
