Overview of vulnerable children in Tanzania

Since the early 1990s Tanzania has witnessed a visible increase in the number of children living and working on the street. This census was conducted as a follow-up to June 2003, and provides a comparative picture of how the situation of the most vulnerable children has altered over an 18 month period. It also looks at whether the efforts of Mkombozi’s projects in 4 target communities are having a positive impact in reducing the number of children coming to the streets from these areas
