A call to action: children the missing face of AIDS

Bringing the impacts of HIV and AIDS on children to the forefront

This publication argues that the world must take urgent account of the specific impact of AIDS on children, or there will be no chance of meeting Millennium Development Goals – to halt and begin to reverse the spread of the disease by 2015. It argues that although AIDS has been a focus of international concern for more than two decades, its impact on children has been little considered.

The report provides a summary of some of the main impacts of HIV and AIDS on children and on their lives, and gives information about the "Unite for children: Unite against AIDS" campaign.
